This course is designed with the Energy Auditor, Quality Control Inspector, and Program Manager in mind. In this course we will cover why the SWS was developed and by whom it was developed; how to create an account; how to provide your personal feedback and recommendations to the SWS reviewing committees; how to create a mini-field guide for each specific weatherization job; how the QCI can create a guide for failed tasks and how to navigate the SWS for single-family, manufactured homes, and multifamily projects. The SWS has major topics but is also encompasses finer details related to weatherization that will be covered in the course. We will also explore how the SWS, the Indiana Weatherization Field Guide, and the QCI report can be utilized to strengthen the quality of your weatherization program when used in conjunction with each other. Understanding how to utilize the SWS to its fullest capacity is of utmost importance for compliance with US Department of Energy weatherization projects and it is strongly encouraged that all energy auditors, quality control inspectors, and program managers attend this course.
